This is a special day / chapter. First, I discovered I made partner on YouTube yesterday, one of the goals I had been working hard towards
I feel more motivated than ever to create bigger and better videos!
And the second is this video, which has been a personal dream of mine since I started making videos. I love creating makeup tutorials, but I love writing, filming and directing action / movie like clips that involve special effects equally as much. For me this was the ultimate way to convey my emotions and thoughts. I feel that combining video, sound and music is the best medium to reach out and touch others.
Introducing the Doppelgänger Wars, a digitally inspired makeup tutorial that illustrates the internal conflict I feel everyday (in a more entertaining way of course). I want my chapters to reflect an emotion, a story or a thought in my own life. My chapters are an extension of me as a person.
I created the idea on the spot on the day of filming, but so much love and thanks goes to Surfaced Studio who helped not only film the featured clips, but wrote the music and did all the special effects.
I implore you to visit and subscribe to his channel, there isn’t a whole lot yet, but if you check out the end of my video you’ll see a sneak peek of one of his upcoming videos. He is amazingly talented and you can expect more Book of Fables chapters to follow down a similar path thanks to his creativity.
My Book of Fables series is the most entertaining and unique aspect of my blog that I have worked immensely hard to build, but I know for a fact that the biggest credit for its on going success goes to Surfaced Studio. For his encouragement, for his motivation and for his determination to help me reach my goals

This is your best video to date Celina, incredible work. I love the inspiration and story behind it although I felt sad seeing the dead Celina at the end (I’m a wimp when it comes to blood) to be able to get an emotional reaction out of me shows what a genius you are. Truly inspirational!

You got exactly what I was trying to do, get an emotional reaction from my viewers. That’s the goal every time I put a video out there, I want my viewers to feel something and I’m really honoured and touched by your comment <3 Thank you

[...] Blogger: Celina Lee What it’s about: Makeup reviews, cosplay ideas and very interesting makeup tutorial videos. What I like about it: I have the pleasure of meeting Celina at the first Melbourne Beauty Blogger Event in 2010. She’s such a sweet lady, is incredibly talented at makeup, creating costumes AND she’s a cool IT geek. Every video of hers on the Book of Fables blows me away. Her creativity and talent are simply amazing. A favourite post of mine: All of her Book of Fables videos, but I particularly enjoy Doppelgänger Wars. [...]
Very talented! Well done.
