The Subtil Palette is one of Lancôme’s latest products which essentially contains a bronzer, blush and highlighter, the three essential products for giving any face the appearance of definition, colour and glow!
The name for this palette is pretty spot on, this palette is subtle! But not so subtle that I’d sit here and whinge about pigmentation (cause I tend to do that…) This palette is very suitable for everyday / natural wear. A few typical swirls of the brush will result in a very natural enhanced appearance, nothing too dramatic and as you can tell below, almost invisible on camera.
This particular range has a series of different shades, I chose likely the lightest shades to suit my skin type and am very happy with it. I don’t typically wear any face products to work, but occasionally when the mood strikes me I can see myself reaching for this (great for lunches out though!)
The only complaint I have are the pans, which really can’t be helped for any palette. But you need some very specific brushes that are small enough to not collect product across 2-3 pans in one stroke and are still large enough to do their job as a face brush. Bit of a catch 22 there!
But I am a beauty blogger, and a bit of an excessive one at that, so limited brush selection is not a problem for me!
I can’t tell whether I look sleep deprived (which I probably was) or evil (which I most definitely am)
If you are interested, you can purchase this for $42US from Sephora. Haven’t seen nor heard any word of them appearing on Aussie counters just yet, though no doubt they will make their way here eventually!
