My opinions of tinted moisturisers in general tend to flip flop quite a bit, mostly because I find they act as “lighter” foundations, rather than actually moisturisers with a tint to them. I really have no idea if it’s all in the mind or actually legitimate.
Either way, I think Clinique provided this tinted moisturiser for me during MBBE last year! I’m 99% sure they did, but I have the memory of a goldfish sometimes so I can’t really remember. Either way, for reference I’m using the lightest shade available here in 01 and it’s a perfect match to me.
You can apply with this your hands, I personally preferred a brush. The coverage is not surprisingly very light. You can see in the photos below that the difference between the side that has coverage and the side that doesn’t isn’t massively different. At a glance you probably couldn’t tell there was a difference at all, all it really has done is slightly even out my skin tone, and soften my freckles.
However I did find the formula to be pretty hydrating, it didn’t leave my skin dry, in fact it left it feeling just a little oily. Though I found the “oily” factor to be no different from my typical moisturiser that contains SPF, which I think is the real reason for the oil factor. If you don’t want any shine, then just dust over a bit of face powder and you should be right to go. It lasted me all day without sinking into my skin.
If you’re looking for a moisturiser with SPF protection that comes with just a little bit of coverage, this would be perfect. I think this would be great for work thanks to it’s very natural finish. You can purchase this for $27US at Nordstrom you’re USA based or $50AU from Clinique Online, Myer, David Jones or selected chemists.
