Where: The Body Shop
The Body Shop is well known for their scrubs, shower gels and general bath products. I’ve been a long time fan of their shower gels, my favourite flavour has always been passionate fruit, which they unfortunately discounted a while back (I still have a bottle, as I stocked up before they ran out!)
Earth Lovers is a new series from The Body Shop that currently hosts a range of shower gels. It comes in an array of scents from Mint & Cucumber, Watermelon & Eucalyptus, Fig & Rosemary, Pear & Lemongrass, Apricot & Basil and Fragrance-Free. I couldn’t choose between Watermelon & Eucalyptus and Apricot & Basil, so I ended up purchasing both! (The SA told me they were the most popular too!) They don’t smell as sweet as the traditional shower gels, they smell more subtle with a bit of spice.
As a product, they wear similar to the Body Shop’s other shower gels, in that they create a generous amount of foam when used with a Bath Lily (which I love), leaves my skin feeling soft and clean~ The main difference however is that the remaining scent does not linger as long as the original shower gels, which is actually something I like! After about an hour or so the scent is completely gone
From an environmental stand point, these shower gels are environmentally friendly (100% biodegradable), contain no sulphates, no colourants and no parabens, so are suitable for sensitive skin. You should definitely visit the website to read up more on this if this is something you are passionate about (I know I have a friend at work who is very picky about what types of products.)
Overall, if you love the Body Shop’s traditional shower gels, you should definitely give these a go! They are pretty much exactly the same usage wise, except the scent isn’t as long lasting, which can be a pro or con (pro for me!).
