We’ve done it! We’ve reached the final empties post for 2012 It’s been quite a year regarding empties, managed to get through quite a few products this year, mostly skincare but a number of makeup too I have several goals for next year regarding my spending habits, which I’ll address on my resolution post on the 1st of January 2013
Lancome Eau Fraiche Douceur
Basically a cleansing water which I used as a toner after my cleasning oil and cleanser. Loved this, this is probably my 4th or 5th bottle now! I already have another as a back up, but I need to work through a couple other toners before I let myself use my backup.
The Body Shop Earth Lovers – Apricot & Basil
Take it or leave it, as a body wash it was great, I loved how much it foamed up which is a big plus for me, but the scent wasn’t my thing. I prefer tropical fruits alone, not a fan of adding a spice in with this. The Body Shop generally makes great body washes so I”m more likely to go back for a pure fuirt scent instead.
Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy – Nourishing Shampoo & Nourishing Conditioner *
Decent shampoo and conditioner, left my hair feeling soft and healthy~ But nothing exceptional enough for me to jusitfy going out and purchasing them.
Archipelago Candle – Mango Tangerine
I purchased this quite a while back because I was looking for a highly citriusy scent to burn at home, and this is pretty much it. The name is a very accurate description of the scent, mangos and tangerines! It’s a lovely scent, but after my candle binge at Bath and Body Works, I probably won’t repurchase this. Especially since candles at BBW are many times cheapaer than this one.
Slatkin & Co Candle – Caribbean Escape
Speaking of Bath and Body Works, love this candle! In fact, loved it so much I went and purchased the large version! Yes, even with the insane shipping prices (given this has glass) the BBW candles are wonderful and still work out in total cheaper than purchasing some of the nicer candles in AU… fail right? Love fruit tropical scents, they are my favourite!
SK-II Whitening Source Dermdefinition
I’ve only recently started getting into SK-II products, still finding my way through the mass of products to see what works for me and what doesn’t. This one didn’t really do anything to my skin at all, at least I didn’t notice any change. At least it didn’t do anything bad?
Urban Decay Primer Potion – Original
Loved the formula, but hated the packaging. After a few months I had to remove the stopper to prevent it from wiping down all the product. I managed to get another 2-3 months of use after removing the stopper, so you can see how wasteful this packaging is. I’m aware people can cut open to retreive even more product, but honestly a masscared product doesn’t look as nice for an Empties post / video, and as a beauty blogger I have many more primers I need to work my way through X_x;
Another month, another empties post! And this time, a video~ As I feel like I’ve mentioned quite a few times, I hate talking to the camera! I get nervous, I stutter, I can’t formulate my thoughts properly and what was only a 5 minute video took almost 1 hr to film!
So, in an attempt to better my in front of the camera communication ability I decided to try and release monthly empties videos. I’m happy to include others if you have any requests, but I think this is a good logical start given the series has already existed on my blog for 1.5 years now So I hope you enjoy the video!
Sukin Facial Moisturiser *
As it say, facial moisturiser that I use at night before bed time~ I wrote a review here if you’re interested to learn more.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair *
Great night time serum, I always use at least one serum at night before my moistursier depending on my needs at the time. If you’re keen, I’ve also written a review here for this serum.
Napoleon Whole Lotta Lash Mascara
A great freebie mascara that I actually really enjoyed using! It’s not technical empty, but it’s done it’s time and has now dried out Check out my review here!

Happy Halloween guys! Hope you have some exciting plans for this spooky season~ I know I’ll be spending Friday watching scary movies and pigging out with some of my friends I’ll make sure to take some photos, however until them, let’s do something boring and check out all the products I emptied out this month hehe
Wella Pro Series Repair – Shampoo *
Don’t really have much to say regarding this shampoo, it cleaned my hair, didn’t do anything else that exceptional and I won’t repurchase not because it was bad (because it wasn’t), but just because I’d rather use something else now!
Foamburst Foaming Shower Gel – Summer Zest (Mandarin, lemon & Ylang Ylang) *
Interesting shower gel, basically you squirt it into your hand and it instantly foams. I think basically when this gel is introduced to air it starts to foam up. Really fun to use, smells lovely (it lingers on your skin for a few hours after), but pretty annoying once you get near the end as the dispenser is painfully slow.
Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner *
Loved this! If I didn’t already have a mountain of toners to go through I’d likely purchase another one, you can read my review here.
Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Productive Emulsion SPF 15
I found this to be a bit too watery for me, probably better for oilier skin. I wasn’t that impressed and so won’t be re-purchasing this.
Clinique All About Eyes
I’ve been through like 5 of these now, generally good moisturiser but nothing extraordinary.
Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer
It did a great job as an eye primer, didn’t have any complains but won’t be re-purchasing just because I have a mountain of primers to work through.
Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring Shampoo, Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring Conditioner & Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair *
The only problem with hair related samples is that because I have such long hair (past my waist), I only really get one use out of these and so can never really make a call on whether these were good or not. They cleaned my hair and made it soft? As do most other hair related products!

October is here! (Well almost), which is the month of Halloween, a cosplayer’s dream month Too bad I’m kinda too old to be trick-a-treating…. >_>
On to the products! It was a good month in terms of skin care
Laura Mercier Skincare – Face Polish
Currently my favourite exfoliator~! The smell is not to my taste (roses?), but my skin feels amazing after! I’m definitely planning to buy this again once I finish off the other 3-4 exfoliators I have that I need to finish off first! (Determined to only ever own one at a time!)
Estee Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells – Full Spectrum Brightening Essence
A milky brightening serum, lovely to use but didn’t notice any bit of difference to my skin at all.
Shiseido White Lucent brightening Cleansing Foam
Great foaming cleanser, I mostly used my Clarisonic with this and for the most part it was a great cleanser, though probably just a tiny bit too drying for my skin.
Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Balancing Softener Enriched
Brightening toner, that didn’t do any brightening that I could tell at all, but still felt lovely to use and great at removing the very last of my makeup.
MAC Cleanse Off Oil
It did it’s job as a cleansing oil, but I really didn’t like the strong citrus smell. I prefer a cleansing oil with no smell.
Shu uemura Skin Purifier – Fresh *
Another great cleansing oil, but not my favourite because I felt like it left a strange slippery residue on my face afterwards, and there was just a very faint scent. As I said before, I prefer something with zero scent.
Clinique All About Eyes
I really love using this eye moisturiser because it leaves my skin at the moment feeling really soft and well moisturised. However long term I noticed absolutely no changes.
SK-II Facial Treatment Repair C
Didn’t really have enough to know if this made a difference, but it was a clearly watery gel with no noticeable smell.
SK-II Signs Wrinkle Serum
Dabbed this on any areas of my face were I was trying to prevent wrinkles. Not idea if it works or not, but it did sting a little :/ Will not be purchasing a full size thanks.
Lancome Oscillation Mascara – Black *
Great mascara, love using this, but have no use for the oscillation feature. You can read my review here.
e.l.f Peach Matte Eyeshadow
Depotted from a larger e.l.f palette, just great to know I can finish eyeshadows
Moroccan Oil *
Love this! My hair incredibly soft after each use~ I will definitely be going for a full sized version once I finish off the other hair oil samples I have

Last month of winter! Yaaaaay! About time, I feel that the lack of Australian Summer in 2011 / 2012 has meant that we’ve had a 2 year long winter!!
No I don’t exaggerate at all, nor abuse exclamation marks….
No real stand out products this month, as you can see lots of them were just samples! But that’s fine, I have a drawer full of samples that I want to work through and finish off!
You may however notice that I’ve finally polished off my NYX Mosiac Powder Highlighter! Which was featured in so many videos!! I love it, I’ve already re-purchased it to use when I need but am in the process of experimenting with other highlighters now
Estee Lauder Cyber White Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum Brightening Cleanser
Guinot Cleansing Water *
Bioeffect EGF Serum
MAC Cleanse Off Oil
Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer
Clinique Makeup Remover
Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus
Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment
Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate
NYX Mosaic Powder – Highlighter
Products marked with a * were sent for consideration.
Double month this time! That’s because at the end of June I was travelling between Germany and France! And as you know pretty much dropped off the face of blogging during my Europe trip~ Hence the few more empties that I have for you all today.
Keeping in mind that I’ve decided to stop including stuff like cotton pad wrappers, makeup remover wipes. We all know I go through those like candy so I didn’t think there was much point continously including them. Figure I should focus on actual products, and I’m so glad this time I actually have more makeup products than skin care to show you
It’s the small accomplishments in life that matter ;D
