Inspiration comes in so many forms, most of the time the ideas for my videos comes during my daily commute to and from work. But sometimes, it can be random. I saw a look very similar to this on an ad as I was watching youtube videos. I just knew I wanted to give it a go, I hadn’t worked with these colours before and it seemed to suit the beach so well
All I’ve done is reproduce the look, certainly did not create it but I hope you like it either way Ever since I got my rhinestones, I’m having a ball trying to come up with new looks to use them for

Ah, it has been a tough week I have to admit. I never realised what a tight ship I run at home, and constantly take for granted the luxury of being at home most nights to work through Fables related work. It’s only recently I’ve started realising that working of Fables easily takes up close to 40 hrs of my life, which equivalents to a second full time job. You’d be surprise how much work there is behind the scenes X_x; So when a couple social events pop up or you end up having to take work home from your day job, it really has a massive impact.
BUT enough whinging, let’s talk about today’s look. I filmed the entire intro and outro for this outside at around… 9pm – 10pm at night? My only light source was the moon and a single street lamp, so to help illuminate my face I was holding a silver reflector under me the whole time. Ahh… the joys of hacky videography You know you love it~
I really enjoyed putting this simplistic look together, I definitely want to aim to do more full faced makeup looks, they have the most amazing impact and are such a joy to pull together. A true transformation Hope you enjoy!

Heeee, this has got to be one of my favourite chapters to film! It was fun dressing up as a kid and acting like a total brat The makeup is relatively simple, it’s more of a dolly eye look. I was surprised how much I liked this eye makeup on myself through so I may consider wearing it more often.
The idea came to me when I first came across the same music track. It made me think of Tom and Jerry at first and then over time this idea developed. I love it when such ideas hit me, as it makes the entire creation process completely fun!
The cookies however were gross -_-; I mean, what do you expect for a jar of cookies going for 50 cents clearance right? I had to do two takes of the cookie eating part, so by the end of it I was scrubbing out my mouth at the sink Ahh, the things I do to make a good video!
Anyways, I hope you really enjoy it, I created the dress myself, it’s actually part of my Shia costume.

My first attempt at a half body look, I didn’t even know I was going to do this look till we got to Inverloch. The property we were staying at had this great little pond in the back yard that instantly gave me the idea to film this look. So the next day I did
The look is… yeah, not my best, but it’s a good start and has given me a ton of ideas and tips on what to expect when I do some future looks in a similar vein. I definitely need to plan a lot more, do a trial and get some more appropriate makeup. Little eye shadow pans just makes the process very painful.
Hope you enjoy the video, I’ve got a cute one already in the works for next week

My first ever Book of Fables guest You’ve probably already heard of her, she’s been featured as a guest poster several times here on Fables and when Sefie said she was planning to cosplay Cooking Mama I knew she’d make a perfect chapter! Sefie’s makeup is extremely versatile and can be used for a myriad of different looks. Sefie did the makeup, created the costume and styled the entire look all on her own Sefie is not just cosplaying a chef, she is actually one herself and runs a fantastic food blog called Sefie Eats~
You’ll have to forgive some of the terrible voice over work I did, I autotuned my voice for certain areas because I couldn’t stop cringing O_o
Also a big thanks to Neil Creek for supplying all the photos for this post. Neil and I make a great team and I can’t wait to work with him more, both as a videographer and model Hope you enjoy the video!

Happy Valentine’s Day! Or at least it will be in a few more days I’m never sure about Valentine’s day, I love the theatrics and “glamour” of Valentine’s Day, the colours, the hearts and so much more! But as for celebrating your relationship or love? I dunno, I kind of want to do that everyday
This particular look was completely Nomi‘s idea, I remember one night when I was having dinner at her house she suggested something just like this. I’m sure she probably had a far more elaborate look in her mind, and I’m keen to attempt this look again for a photo shoot with both her and Neil Creek Maybe with red roses or even sun flowers And the other person I must thank is Sefie, for suggesting the more wearable version. I’m not likely to do this for every look, but probably at least for the “cultural holiday” looks at least
Hope you enjoy the look~

A very special video, not just because it was filmed in Inverloch, but mostly because I get to feature all my friends together doing what they do best, being awesome. As you already know I was out in Inverloch last weekend taking half a holiday, half a “must film as many makeup tutorials as possible”. I was pretty stoked to achieve both thanks to my friends who are constantly teaching me to live life, enjoy life and savour each moment that passes.
As for the look, it was something I threw together pretty much on the day. It’s hard to plan looks to film in an environment you’ve never seen before which meant I basically had to bring with me everything I thought I could use and design virtually all my looks whilst there.
I will admit that shooting this tutorial was a million times more fun and entertaining for me thanks to all the people around me And I hope it shows and in turn you enjoy the video!
Special thanks to Neil Creek for the photo at the top of this post
