Yeah I know, I am late to the matte lipstick bandwagon~ But better late than never right?
When I first saw these lipsticks, I thought the concept was very interesting. A bit like matte nail polishes. Traditionally lipsticks give off at least a slight sheen, and if you wanted a matte finish then you’d need to just use a lip pencil, which can be very drying.
Unfortunately that’s kind of how I found this lipstick to be. It’s no where near as drying as a lip pencil, but generally speaking it doesn’t help if you already suffer from dry lips. Be sure to exfoliate and use lip balm before hand if you do have chapped lips.
Dryness aside, I loved the pigmentation on this lipstick, it’s solid, applies relatively creamy and looks very flattering I would imagine on most skin tones. These lipsticks come in a range of other shades, but Bangkok seems to be the most popular thanks to how wearable the colour is.
Give these a try at the counters if you can, I would see these as a try before you buy kind of product.
There is something about NARS eye shadows that just keep drawing me in, and unfortunately causing me to build a bit of a shameful collection.
The formula here is amazing, buttery, soft, pigmented and glides on with very little effort. I find that the Duo eye shadows seem to be much higher quality than the Trio shadows NARS has been releasing seasonally. I’m very much addicted to these shadows.
These two particular shades in Hula Hula are very wearable colours, the brown shade does have some rather large gold flecks scattered throughout it, and so you may want to reserve this shade for the weekend if you’re more a subtle shimmer / matte sort of person at work.
The only real drawback for me is not so much the fallout comment I made above (that was more for people newer to makeup application) but that fact that you only get two shades. Generally when I apply my eye shadows, I use 3 shades, one for the lid, one for brow bone and one for crease. So as a result when I’m rushing to apply my makeup (which let’s face it, that’s all the time) I tend to reach for my palettes, as everything is right there in front of me.
As a result these babies don’t get as much love as they deserve from me, but maybe I’ll try and get up a bit earlier (when pigs fly) in the mornings to give these a bit more attention.
Promiscuous is a tanned shimmery honey beige shade, I’d consider it a tanned nude were it not for the shimmer in it. It would be amazing in the summer time, it has a very sun-kissed feel to it.
I’m really loving the formula for NARS lipstick, they aren’t as moisturising / wet as I find MAC lipsticks to be, but they are not at all drying. And I love that they don’t have a scent, one of my favourite aspects as I love products with absolutely no scent.
My only negative point would be the pigmentation for this particular shade, it works well for me but I can imagine it not being so great for people with naturally darker lips. Instead it will most likely appear as just a layer of shimmer.
It’s not an everyday lipstick for me, but certainly one I’d take on holiday.
I grew up watching Disney, and loved all the Disney princesses~ My favourite is probably Belle from Beauty and the Beast, but for cosplay purposes I thought I suited Snow White much better If you would like to view the entire costume I made for my Snow White cosplay, please view the gallery here.
I absolutely loved cosplaying Snow White I’d love to do more princesses in the future, enjoy the tutorial

Time for a little colour after the last couple of colour-less chapters! This is my second attempt at a disco look, after my first less than successful attempt! I wanted to do a bit of a twist, and decided to extend the design into my hair, which would have looked a ton better if my hair colour was lighter!
Apologises with some of the cutting of the video, a couple of very minor steps were cut out for the sake of trying to keep the video to 5 minutes.
Hope you enjoy, and as always if you have any questions or future requests, feel free to let me know~

Lol, I’d like to think NARS heard the calls for three separate pans in my last review and decided to step up their game, but I’m pretty sure that would only ever happen in my dreams (having the NARS design team read my blog).
The more likely scenario is that many other people had the same problem as I did, NARS listened and delivered! This time their trio eye shadow comes in three separate pans~ Yay for lack of cross colour contamination, I actively avoid palettes that do this now, it’s slowly become a pet peeve of mine!
Generally, this is a great palette, the shadows are pigmented, the colours are vibrant and really beautiful, though honestly probably not colours one would use on a daily basis.
My only issue this time (because I love to complain) is that the pans are a bit narrow Not a huge deal, but just makes applying an even amount of product on my brush a slight pain. Still, this is a great product, love it
When I saw this pop up online, I knew I had to own it. It contains the blush Orgasm, the highlighter Albatross and the bronzer Laguna; all three shades are my absolute favourites so it was a no brainer for me.
I’m not going to review each product individually; I think I’d rather do a separate post for each one. So instead I want to talk about the packaging for this, which is great. It fits easily into the palm of my hand, is durable and even contains a mirror for easy on-the-go usage.
The only draw back in an otherwise fantastic product is the size of the strips, particularly the blush and highlighter are so tight, I can already see product transfer occurring! Guess I’ll just have to be extra careful when using this, can’t wait to take it traveling with me I should note this is limited edition, so hop to it if you love these shades too~
