A little while back Siera asked whether I could do her makeup for a shoot she was planning for a character created by the artist Sylvia Ji. I wanted to test out the makeup on myself first to get a feel for the look, this is my second attempt which I stupidly started at 10pm at night and finished at 12:15am on a weeknight So I didn’t manage to do as much detailing as I had originally wanted since I was craving sleep instead :/
Given time and a third attempt I’d confident I could do a much better job, fingers crossed when Siera arranges a time for the shoot she’ll look many more times amazing

Prime your face, and then apply white foundation all over the face, neck and upper chest. I’d considered doing the shoulders too if you’re planning a real shoot.
The rest of the look is actually very straight forward, simply copy step by step each detail from the original artwork to your face. I primarily used a black gel liner for all the black patterns and used a purple gel liner for the finer details (though it seems to have photographed black) Make sure you have a fine eyeliner brush and be prepared to constantly have to clean out your brush from the white foundation build up.
For the eyes, after placing the gel liner I would set it with a black eye shadow to prevent creasing.
For the yellow I used a yellow cream eye shadow then put on a yellow powder eye shadow to intensify the colour.
I don’t think there is much else I can say about the look tutorial wise, but if you have a specific question let me know in the comments~
Sometimes I don’t know what colours work for me until I’ve seen myself in a photo wearing said colour, this is the case with this nude lipstick. I got it as a free gift with purchase and always loved it but never worn it since I figured it didn’t suit me. But now, I like it!
As for the look, I’ve always dreamed of working in a fashion house, whether for a fashion designer or fashion magazine (what beauty blogger doesn’t think this!?) and so I thought this would be a fun look to play with. I can’t remember which Korean band I saw rock eyes similar to this, but I thought it would be fun and “fierce” *flips hair*… lol
The more I stare at the photos, the more I think the two wings are not exactly the same. They probably aren’t, and honestly it’s crazy hard to get them perfectly the same too! Just gotta keep practicing!

Face
Nothing new here, primer, foundation, concealer then powder. Take a bronze to help contour your features, such as cheek hollows, sides of nose, temples and chin. Then take a beige blush to your cheeks, and finish off with a shimmery highlighter.
Eyes
After primer, I applied a silver shimmery eye shadow to the to my lids. Take a matte white eye shadow to the inner corners of your eyes and directly under your lower lash line.
Now take a black gel liner to draw the winged eye look as shown in the photos. Go slow with this, even after all my makeup experience I still had to do this step twice to get the right shape. I used the shape of my eyes as a guide, be prepare to step back and look at your face as a whole to see if they are as you want them to appear.
Then with a black pencil liner blend the colour into the silver eye shadow. Line your upper lash line and waterline. At this point you may need to take some silver shadow to blend into the black liner, just work with it till you achieve the desired result.
Take a glitter gel and apply directly to your lids, then while still wet apply pearl glitter. I tend to use glitter gel than lip gloss since it is lighter and less prone to creasing.
Curl your lashes and apply two coats of mascara. Apply your false lashes.
Take a black eyeshadow and heavily shape your eye brows. I wanted a strong look here, finally set with a clear brow gel. Then take a tiny bit and apply to your lower lash line.
Lips
Apply a nude lipstick and top with a nude lip gloss.
I’m really getting into entering as many makeup competitions lately, not so much to win (though it would be nice) but it helps give me ideas and inspiration on what looks to do next. This is my next entry into Makeup Geek’s Valentine look~ It’s much more toned down than usual, to me it almost looks wearable, just need to lose the excess blush and hearts ;D

Face
Prime, foundation, conceal and set with powder as usual.
Cheeks
Apply a soft coral pink to the apples of your cheeks and extend all the way to your temples. Then take a more pigmented magenta pink blush and work that into your temples. Take a matte white highlighting powder and highlight all your high points.
Taking a red lipstick, draw 5 hearts along your cheek bone and place a heart shaped rhinestone at the end of one of the lines.
Eyes
Prime your lids, take a white eyeliner pencil to the inner corner of your eyes, inner lower lash line and brow bone. This is my way of “priming” for white eye shadow to make it stand out more. Then apply a white eye shadow over the white eye liner.
We’re going for a generic neutral brown eye hear, so take a medium brown to the lid and a dark brown to your crease, concentrating on the outer corner of your eye. Blend! Pat on a bit of white eye shadow to the center of your lids.
Line your upper lash line with a black gel liner, curl your lashes and apply mascara. Then apply your false eye lashes.
Define your eyebrows and extend them using a dark brown eye shadow. Then set them with a clear brow gel.
Lips
Line your lips with a red lipliner and fill in, I always fill in as this is my way of priming the lips but also ensuring the colour stays on for longer. Go over the liner with a red lipstick, then apply a pink link stick to the center of your lips for added dimension.
Ever since I saw this look on America’s Next Top Model many years ago I knew I had to try it out one day! This look is a combination of two looks produced on the show, I just can’t remember which season (nor model)
I’m a Ventriloquist Dummy And this was the fastest shoot of all time, because once I sat down I realised… I’m a doll! I can’t change my expression, so it was literally *snap snap* and done! Enjoy
Oh man… I’m creeping myself out >_O
Remember, you don’t need to use the products I do~ Use whatever you’ve got handy!

Face
Apply your primer, foundation, concealer and a powder foundation as usual. I used a powder foundation this time because I wanted a flawless finish. Apply a shimmery highlighter to all the high points of your face, we want to that “plastic” look.
Cheeks
Take a red blush and draw circles on your cheeks, smudge out the lines just a bit.
Eyes
We’re going for a neutral eye here, only higher and heavier. So pat on a earthy brown shadow to your lids, then take a darker matte brown and place it just above your crease. This gives off the illusion that your crease is set higher. Take some of the brown to your bottom lashes. Line your water line with a white eye liner, and line the upper and lower lash line with a black liner.
Take a medium blue shadow and draw lines across each of your eyes.
Apply false lashes to your upper and lower lash line.
Lips
Line your lips with a red lip liner and then fill in with any red lipstick. Then take a brown lip liner (or eyeliner) and draw lines from the edge of your lips down to your chin. Smudge out the line towards the middle of your chin for both lines to add some dimension.
Welcome to probably my favourite look in the series thus far, despite missing the mark quite considerably, I’m happy enough to make it a chapter in my book and work on to becoming hopefully better Another reason this look is so special is because it’s officially the first video to hit my “new” YouTube channel! I created the look for a competition, and have decided it would make for a great first video~ I plan on uploading a tutorial version soon so be sure to subscribe for hopefully many more videos in the future!
I only just opened up my video editting tool for the first time two days ago and so everything is still very new to me, and I know there is much room to improve with regard to my video editting skills! So much to learn too! Let me tell you one thing, major props to the big youtubers to make amazingly complexed videos, it is -not- easy at all, very time consuming.
Videos most likely will take an extra long time to make since currently my music is custom made, yes! Special thanks to Surfaced Music for creating the stunning music for my video, such an insanely talented musician~ Since I am a pianist, I fully intend to produce my own music too, of course my music will be pure piano instead XD; I love creating works of art, productions! (This doesn’t mean I am not willing to use other people’s music, please contact me if you are a musician and are interested in collaborating in the future)
I work extra hard to ensure all my content is unique, original, entertaining and creative and I really hope you guys enjoy it all
Oh and the photos that are blue, was all thanks to simply changing the white balance No fancy image editing~ I liked the blue effect, made me look “cool”. Pun totally intended.

Face
Prime your face, and apply a liquid foundation 1-2 shades lighter than your natural skin tone to the upper 3/4 of your face. Contour your face with a soft bronzer and highlight any areas with a matte white powder. Next take a white cream foundation and dab it all over the lower 1/3 of your face, to your temples, down your neck, on the lower 1/4 of your ears and creeping towards your shoulders and chest. Next set everything with a translucent powder.
Take a dark aqua eye shadow and slowly apply it over the white cream foundation. Makes sure to blend blend blend.
Next take a sharp angled brush, and start drawing “cracks” on your face, I googled images of ice cracking to help me along. Then take the same aqua eye shadow and add shadowing to each of the cracks.
Eyes
Prime your lids, then apply shimmering white eye shadow all over the lid, inner corner of your eye and brow bone. Take the aqua colour and work it into your crease and lower lash line. Then take a black eye shadow and work it into the outer corner of your eyes and slightly over your lower lash line.
Next take a black gel liner and line your upper lash line, wing it out. Take a pencil black eyeliner and line your water line. Curl your lashes, apply mascara then apply your false eyelashes.
Make sure to fill in and extend your brows, we want your eyes to be strong and stand out against all the ice.
Lips
Apply concealer over your lips, then dab some of the aqua eye shadow on the center. This should all help dry out your lips, and give you a more deathly look.
Be sure to check back, I’ll be linking my first video here very soon
I purchased this compact during the Boxing Day sales, as I had heard lots of positive things about the Revlon compacts. I ended up using this on New Years Eve for the first time to set my foundation instead of the traditional face powders since I wanted something more lightweight and natural. And I was pleasantly surprised!
It left my skin feeling smooth, and removed all “shine” I had, though it does leave a very soft satin sheen. Barely noticeable, in fact I didn’t notice it at first until I went in for a closer examination.
Rarely do I ever use the applicators that come with palettes or compacts, I tend to lean towards using my brushes (or clean fingers), but I quite liked the brush applicator that came with this compact because it’s able to apply product to every nook and crank, especially around the nose with ease.
I wouldn’t mind if the mirror could be a tad bigger though, this isn’t eye shadow I’m applying it’s powder to my entire face so it only makes sense to install a bigger mirror. Still, it’s not microscopic either, it’ll do.
Maybe it’s because we’re entering the thick of our lovely Aussie Summer, but I noticed I needed to touch up this powder after 3-4 hours, no idea if it would control my shine better in Winter. Luckily it is very travel friendly so no big deal to throw this in my handbag.
Overall, I love this product! I knew it was a good product from reviews, but it really did surprise me If you are thinking of purchasing it too, given places like Myer, DJ and Priceline tend to have discount sales on Revlon all the time don’t go out and pay full price for this, be patience and wait, it’ll be worth it
I’ve never seen myself so tanned before but I think the tanned skin actually suits me! (Not that I plan to start tanning, no no! Natural skin tone FTW) I almost feel like I’m playing a character with this look, but the look is rather provocative / out there, at least for my personal every day tastes. But yeah, that’s what I love about cosplay and makeup, being able to completely transform yourself~
Still, I could so imagine wearing this look to a Salsa club at night~
I altered these cheap earrings from Diva since I don’t have pierced ears. Bought a stack of stuff there for literally under $30 that I plan to use for costumes and future looks~ I don’t normally wear jewellery in my everyday life so the cheaper the better XD; (So long as it lasts long enough to take photos)

Face
After priming your face, if you have a light skin tone try and use a slightly darker foundation. Instead of using normal powder, use a light bronzer to set the foundation all over your face, neck, chest and shoulders.
Cheeks
I used a medium bronzer and highlighter to contour your face. Add a medium pink blush to your cheeks, it should appear very subtle, like the pink is just glowing.
Eyes
Prime your lids, then use a yellow cream shadow all over the inner half of your lid and brow bone. Blend a blue cream shadow to the outer corner of your eyes and under the eye. With a green cream shadow, blend it all the way up and out towards the hairline and past the brows. Set all the cream shadow with a matching pigment.
Line your upper lash and water line with a black liner, and draw on some lashes above and below your eye. Shape your brows with a dark brow pencil.
Curl your lashes and apply two coats of mascara.
Lips
Line and fill in your lips, fill in with a light pink lipstick, then apply a darker pink lipstick to the center of your lips to add dimension.
