Hey guys! So in case you haven’t been keeping up with me on twitter or Facebook, I’m currently on my way to Europe! I’m actually in Dubai in transit at the moment, and whilst the internet here is pretty craptastic, it at least exists and is free *cough cough*

Mini Coke is mini!
So far have completed my first leg of the flight (14 hours), and thanks to my constant travelling to Sydney, gained some pro skills on how to sleep on planes
Then in another 7-8 hrs I should be in my first stop, Rome Italy!
Yay can’t wait
Anyways, this post was more to let you guys know of what’s going on at the moment, and that you can (hopefully) expect more travel / on the go related posts and videos from me. Most of the trip will be spent with Toby’s family, so I’m thinking I may even have time to film a Book of Fable chapters or two
But no promises, we’ll be literally moving from location to location every few days so it’s hard to predict exactly what will happen (not to mention how often I will be able to find free wifi!)
Till then, if you are keen to keep up with me, follow me or either twitter and / or facebook where I’ll do my best to tweet lots of photos and random messages ;D
Hope you guys are well! <3

Home from Japan, so happy to be with my friends and family, but I do miss Japan
It is a wonderful country (I am going to miss the customer service and fashion the most!)

I spent a shameful amount on both clothes and makeup, I couldn’t help myself given the prices and the fact that finally most of the clothes actually fit me! So happy
Anyways, just letting you guys know I’m back and will hopefully be able to post a bit more regularly~!

I actually wanted to type this up as an email for my dear Sefie, but then I figured others may find it useful too, so why not make a small blog post out of it?
Buying department store makeup in Japan, if the price is better here (this varies a lot from product to product so be sure to check before coming over) and you want it, get it here! First, the customer service here is second to none. I’ve been in Japan for about a week now, people always think I’m a local (till I open my mouth, then I’m a total tourist, so I see both sides) and I haven’t come across any bad customer service at all. Amazing!
Secondly, if you want to try products on, they are only too happy to give you their full attention. I’ve noticed a few times at the Aussie counters, the SA just want to grab my money and shove me out the door, sometimes even doing incorrect colour checks as well :/
Lastly, samples! Every brand I’ve bought from will give you mini cute versions of other products that work great as travel versions. I’ve never received any samples from the Aussie counters, except for Kiehls.
All in all, shopping in Japan for makeup is totally worth it

I’ll be leaving for Japan tomorrow for approximately 2 weeks, in that time I still hope to blog as much as I can, mainly because there will be plenty of time on the plane to write up new posts, as well as on the train as I travel between cities (7 cities in 14 days, I hope I’ve got the energy for it!) So fingers crossed that will happen, if not, you’ll know why there is a sudden 2 week lull in my posts.

Despite the limited time I’ll have, I’ve excited to see what hidden / lesser known Japanese beauty products and fashion I can uncover! I’ve already got instructions on how to mail packages back home so I should be all set
I’ll try my best to keep you guys posted!

First, my apologies for being MIA the last couple of weeks, I’ve been busy toying around with various concepts and ideas, and have some exciting projects in the making! I’m still trying to get used to the idea of documenting everything I do, as in the past I’m use to just doing it!
Around the middle of Febuary, a small group of cosplay friends and I embarked on recreating the Final Fantasy 8 opening scene for an EB Games competition, with a twist. My character was Rinoa Heartily, and you can view (and vote?) for our entry here. We’re the first video list (talk about luck!). I will make a post on the construction of the costume once I get some high res photos of it
It was indeed an interesting journey, involving a lot of fabric dying!
The other thing I’ve been working on is a mini studio in my room. I’ve always been passionate about both makeup and fashion, and had originally intended to open two separate blogs, this for fashion and another for makeup. But after a good week of going back and forth with names and whether it would be wise to spread myself over two blogs (and potentially have my content run too thin?), I decided to just merge the two ideas together and bring my love for makeup / beauty on this blog! So be prepared for many more posts on product reviews, “face of the day”, tutorials and much more! I’m very excited

And here’s a little something from my last trip to Hong Kong, a short maxi dress! The fabric is a tad sheer, which makes me wonder whether I would actually wear it out, still~ It fits perfectly, is very summery and all for around $10AU! Market finds are the best
