Hands down, my favourite collection in a very long time! In fact I’d go as far as to say, my favourite collection for 2012 (I don’t see how any Halloween or holiday set could beat this, but you never know!) This collection is filled with duo chromes, which are some of my most favourite unique polishes. After swatching plenty of crèmes and metallics straight colours, sometimes you want something unique, and this is it!
Some of the polishes tend to lean a little towards not having enough opacity, so some may need either a thicker coat or three to get the full intensity. That aside, love this collection and so glad to own it.
All swatches are two coats with no top coat.
A beautiful deep sea teal shade, this is a gorgeous rich turquoise like shade, however as gorgeous as it may seem, it’s actually not that unique. Very easily I found lighter dupes in Essie’s Trophy Wife and Face of Australia’s Lets Go Scuba Diving.
No Plain Jane
A purple / magenta shade that leans on the very sheer side, in some angles I feel like I see pink, in others orange. That’s the beauty of duo chrome polishes Zoya’s Adina is similar but contains some green and Zoya’s Zara is a slightly sheerer version.
Rare & Radiant
A green, gold and copper polish depending on which angle you’re looking at it. This is an exact dupe to Chanel’s very popular Peridot polish released some time in 2011. The minute I swatched Rare & Radiant, I knew I’d seen this colour before and immediately pulled out Peridot.
As you can see in the photos, they are pretty much exact matches!
A gold base polish with pinky purple tints, really lovely shade is that likely the only office friendly colour out of this collection. The closest I could find was Chanel’s Quartz, which tends to have more khaki tints.
A lovely mossy green polish with gold / yellow shades that I surprisingly couldn’t find any dupes for. It’s a great fresh colour! Green is always a shade I’m never quite sure how to wear, because it doesn’t normally “fit” any mood or event, but I feel Unpredictable would be great for anywhere but the office.
Want My Bawdy
A deep navy blue that seems to be tinted slightly purple polish. OPI’s Blue My Mind is a less metallic version and OPI’s Glamour is very similar minus the additional halo micro-glitters.
