Zoya Summertime 2011 Collection Review, Swatches and Photos

Zoya Summertime 2011 Collection

Yay for another Zoya collection, they are definitely one of my favourite brands ever~ The range of colours completely caters to my “wild” side, then I have Essie who completely caters to my “tamed” side 🙂

This collection came out probably the same time as Zoya’s Sunshine collection, but is instead filled with crèmes instead of shimmer 🙂 So between the two collections you get an interesting balance. I wish the colour variation was a little bigger in this collection, especially since the reds seem to sit very close together. Not sure if that was intentional or not.

As always, all polishes are 2 coats with no top coat.

Areej
Zoya Summertime 2011 - Areej
A red berry crème, I really love the richness of this colour, it feels rather grand.

Breezi
Zoya Summertime 2011 - Breezi
Token medium dusty blue crème, lovely smooth finish but couldn’t find any dupes in my collection 🙁

Kieko
Zoya Summertime 2011 - Kieko
A darker more purple version of Areeji, another lovely shade which I’m thinking would work well as a Winter shade to be honest.

Mira
Zoya Summertime 2011 - Mira
A deep purple shade (aren’t my descriptions just the most precise!?), I think this shade is darker than OPI’s Funky Donkey and A Grape Fit!

Sooki
Zoya Summertime 2011 - Sooki
A bright true red crème, Essie’s Silken Cord is only a tad lighter than Sooki.

Tamsen
Zoya Summertime 2011 - Tamsen
A orange based red, very similar to Sooki with a light wash of orange on it. If you have one, I don’t really see the point in owning the other (unless you’re a wasteful beauty blogger like yours truly).

I -loved- both collections Zoya has released for summer so far, I love shimmers and I love crèmes! Zoya is doing some amazing work with their latest shades, I can’t wait to see what else they have in the future 🙂

  1. I love Mira!
    Such a pretty purple.

I have to agree that the reds are very similar, would of preferred to see one of them replaced with a different colour. Perhaps a green or something,

    1. I know! I don’t understand the motive behind all the reds 🙁

  2. Yay! Glad you posted swatches! I was deciding whether or not to get this and I think you’ve sold me 🙂

  3. Areej is my favourite out of the bunch I think. The others are beautiful in their own way 🙂
