As I mentioned last week, Dior released two eye shadow palettes as part of their Holiday 2012 collection. The first I reviewed was called Fairy Gold, and today’s palette is called Night Golds.
The terms of quality and texture, this palette is very similar to Fairy Gold. The shadows are pigmented, velvet to the touch and buttery smooth. The colour range however is far more gold and less taupe, which means this suits warmer skin tones better.
The look below I put together is far softer and more wearable than the one I did for Fairy Gold, however rather than using the dark brown shade as a liner, it could easily to be used on the outer corner of the eye to smoke out the eyes.
If I had to choose between the two palettes, I’d probably go Fairy Gold, just because my skin tone isn’t very warn and I generally prefer cooler tones. But again, the choice is completely optional and very much dependant on your own personal skin tone.
I’m not sure if these are still available online (haven’t been able to find anywhere at the moment), but I know they retail for $59US online and $99AU at David Jones or Myer.
