China Glaze Wicked Halloween 2012 Collection Review, Swatches and Photos

China Glaze Wicked Halloween 2012 Collection

Halloween is fast approaching, so it seemed fitting to feature a Halloween inspired nail polish collection, specifically this is by China Glaze. This isn’t the complete the collection, just a selection. My favourites would be Bizarre Blurple and Ghoulish Glow, not a bad collection but nothing stand out either. I had my eyes on ORLY’s Halloween collection, despite being mostly glitter! (But I have enough polishes as it is!)

All swatches are two coats with no top coat.

Bizarre Blurple

I think the term “blurple” hit the nail on the head pretty much for this polish, it’s a metallic mix of blue and purple, almost but not quite duo chrome. I’d say that Color Club’s Charmed I’m Sure and OPI’s Ink are the closest I have in my collection, but not exact dupes.

Glitter Goblin

A mixture of orange, red and silver glitters. Glitter polishes are not my favourite because they can be very chunky and rough, this isn’t exactly that chunky, but it’s rough enough for me to stay clear of it unless I was going for a particular look. OPI’s Extra-va-vaganza is similar only it contains more orange glitters.

Roguish Red

An almost tangerine crème red polish, it has a mixture of red and orange in it, I’d say Chanel’s Holiday and Essie’s Orange, It’s Obvious are similar but lighter. A closer dupe would be Essie’s Meet Me at Sunset.

Ghoulish Glow

Glow in the Dark nail polish, that’s pretty much it for this. I love how it appears clear to slightly milky on the nails normally, but switch off the lights and boom! Neon green nails 😀

The glow isn’t as strong when I’m holding the nail polish because of the contrast, but when I shot my hands alone, it was very obvious. Very cool and obviously my favourite polish from this collection 😀
