Ke$ha We R Who We R Nail Art

When I released my last makeup video dedicated to Kesha’s music video look in We R Who We Are, I got a number of requests to demonstrate how I made the fake nails I created for the look 🙂 I documented the process through iphone photos so hopefully they make sense 😀

Start off by selecting the fake nails that fits your fingers best! And then shave down any bumps or rough edges of the nail to ensure it is all smooth.

I tried using little photo stickers at first, but it didn’t work out so instead I used blu-tac and stuck each nail on a nail wheel so that I could paint them individually.

Then I first applied two coats of ORLY’s Angel Eyes, finished with two coats of OPI’s Gone Gonzo!

After that I took a bunch of very cheap earring studs, pulled out the ones I liked, cut down their stems and used nail glue to stick them on the nails. Sometimes I’d drill a small hole to push the stem through for additional stability.

Stick the nails on and you’re done! 🙂
