Chanel Mouche de Beaute Illuminating Powder Review, Swatches and Photos

Chanel Mouche de Beaute Illuminating Powder

For some reason it feels like highlighters / illuminating face powders are all Chanel seems to be releasing in their limited edition line. But of course, it’s Chanel and I’m a true… lover! To all things Chanel~ So I just had to pick up this powder to try out for you guys (I do it all for you guys, I justify all purchases this way!).

This illuminating powder was released as part of Chanel’s Maquillage Croisiere de Chanel collection. It is mostly a golden highlighter with some pink highlights, almost rose gold.

To the honest, when I see a highlighter with a rose gold angle to it, I question whether it would be able to suit for my lighter skin tone (NC20). Fortunately I really loved this particular highlighter, it’s very subtle, a few wipes will give you a very natural soft glow. Obviously for the photos below I had to pack it on a bit more for it to appear clearly visible.

This is not ideal for more theatrical looks or anything that requires strong pigmentation, it really is meant more for natural looks.

And let’s have a moment to admire the beautiful design~! Something Chanel is becoming very well known for, it is gorgeous and will likely last around 8-10 light applications.

If you’re interesting, these go for $80US online, and I’ll willing to guess they are likely around $100AU if bought locally, however I have no idea if they are available in Australia 🙁
