Chanel Superstition Fall 2013 Nail Polish Collection Review, Swatches and Photos

Chanel Fall 2013 Nail Polish

Time to talk about Chanel’s Fall 2013 nail polishes~ I’m still not sure whether I’m loving this collection or not. I suppose I’m not a huge fan of green polishes, it’s certainly a shade I don’t tend to gravitate towards. At the same time, it’s not that I don’t appreciate green polishes, they do have a certain richness to it. Never the less I decided to give this collection a whirl and see if it would grow on me over time. The collection contains three polishes, two crème and one shimmer.

As always, swatches are two coats with no top coat so you can see what the natural finish is like.

Elixir

A slightly burnt watermelon crème, probably my favourite from this collection because it’s a colour I can see myself wearing often. It’s very work safe which is a bonus for me having to work in a conservative office environment 5 out of 7 days a week!

Alchimie

A shimmery moss green polish with silver micro shimmers. The only shimmer from this collection. The colour really reminds me of what I’d typically see for a Christmas / Holiday collection, like a young Christmas tree.

Mysterious

An incredibly dark green almost black crème polish. As is the case with most darker polishes, the pigmentation here is amazing! Great if you want to wear a black polish without creating too harsh a look. Not something I’d wear to work as it’s a bit too dramatic, but perfect for certain looks on the weekend.

You can pick up a bottle for yourself at $39AU each at the Chanel counters at Myer or David Jones.
