Mocktails ~ Watermelon Slushies

Mocktails ~ Watermelon Slushies

It’s back baby, it’s back! Yes, it’s been ages since I last featured a mocktail post, admittedly I started running out of opportunities and motivation last year to try out new drinks. But this year I’ve got an entire list that I really want to try and see if they are any good! And I’ll be sure to feature my favourites on the blog 😀

Today’s recipe came from a book by Jody Vassallo that features a number of drinks I’ll be trying this year~ It’s basically watermelon slushies :9 And is delicious and perfect for a summer party! So refreshing 🙂

Basically to make 2 tall glasses you need:

3 cups of chopped watermelon
500ml of lemonade
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 teaspoon of rosewater

All you need to do is throw all ingredients into a blender, blend till you have a smooth liquid and then place it in the freezer for a few hours. You don’t want it to become a solid block of ice, just frozen enough for the edges to be solid.

Then throw it back into the blender, blend till smooth and serve! Easy huh?

I’m doing my best to use as many fruits from my own garden as I can, unfortunately I don’t grow watermelons so I had to purchase that, but I do have an abundance of citrus fruits!

Let me know if you have any great mocktail recipes, I’d love to try more!
