Chanel released a couple of new pressed pigments as part of their Summer 2014 collection, which worked out great because I’ve always loved their pressed pigments. I know it seems kinda… unnecessary especially when they work just as well as good quality eye shadow with a brush, but I still just love using these. I can’t quite explain why.

You can either use your fingers or a brush to apply, I personally prefer to use these as washes over the lid, often alone, and I’ll use my ring finger to apply all over the lid and then a brush to help smooth out the edges around my crease. In the photos above, all I’ve used is Mirage using this technique and I just love the polished look. Simple and no need to use 2-3 multiple shades.

The quality with Chanel’s pressed pigments is always top notch in my opinion, highly pigmented and rich in colour. I don’t have any issue with the application, very smooth and creamy.

I couldn’t recommend these anymore, you can pick up these Chanel Illusion D’Ombre online for $36USD. Not 100% how much they are at the counters in Australia 🙁

Keep Up with Mia
