Face of Australia Dark Side Collection Limited Edition
To celebrate Winter, Face of Australia have released a new limited edition collection of deep dark nail polishes. They kindly sent me the entire range and I can’t wait to show them to you, the quality is really impressive.
The name of this collection is called “Dark Side”, because each shade is based on an evil villain featured in pop culture, such a great idea! All swatches are 2 coats without any top coat so you can see what the “natural” finish is like. The collection is only available during July, 2014, so if you’re keen, you can grab them now for only $4.95AUD each, quite the bargain.
My favourite was definitely Magento, it actually reminds me of polishes you’d typically get from the likes of Chanel!
Darth Vader
A glitter top coat that contains large purple hex glitters and lots of mini black glitters. Would be perfect on a nice deep dark side like Ursula, Maleficient or Jafar.
Jafar
A rich burgundy, almost black cherry shade. Defintely reminds me of one of my favourite OPI polishes called Black Chutney Cherry. One of my favourite shades for winter 🙂
Magento
A stunning duo chrome gun metal and purple shade, this honestly reminds me of something that Chanel would typically released. It’s gorgeous and if there was only one shade you plan on picking up, I’d make it this!
Maleficent
A gorgeous deep purple, almost black shade. This is like the purple version of Jafar, deep and very winter appropriate.
Mystique
A dark jewel toned teal crème that literally makes me think of Mystique when I look at it.
Ursula
A deep purple crème, beautiful pop of colour without being too bright.
Voldermort
Another great glitter top, this time containing light blue hex glitters, smaller black glitters and micro black glitters.
Wicked Witch of the West
A dark green crème, I can’t help but picked the Wicked Witch, especially give her latest appearance on Once Upon a Time.
I picked up both glitters, the only reason I didn’t get Maleficient is because I have… so many… deep dark purples already… >_>

I just bought wicked witch of the west today and its such an amazing colour, now that I’ve just realised mystique (also magneto!) is apart of the collection I NEED IT! X-men is so amazing! thanks for the swatches such a great collection!

i so want magneto, jafar and mystique is cool. it suprised me how much i liked the look of voldemort on, it looks ok in the bottle but on a flesh background it’s cool!
Ursula is definitely my thing which is why i’m not going to get it, if it’s good it’s limited edition and thats a pain.
+ i already have a lot of purples . . . 😀
