Dior Addict Fluid Sticks – Vertigo & Whisper Beige Review, Swatches and Photos

When Dior first released these Fluid Sticks I instantly thought they would be exactly the same as YSL’s glossy stains (which I love~), thanks to the packaging alone. But they are nothing a like at all! YSL Glossy Stains as the name would suggest are truly stains.

The Dior Addict Fluid Sticks however in my mind are a lot more like liquidifed lipsticks. Highly pigmented, glossy upon application and long lasting depending on how you apply it. When applied straight from the tube, I did find the formula to be pretty sticky if you wanted that full pouted lip effect, and it doesn’t appear to dry down to a more satin finish at all. Lighter colours held up created, but the darker colours tended to bleed on the edges of my lip if I didn’t use a lip pencil.

My favourite way to apply these to get the most wear out of them is to apply a very thin layer, almost just dabbing some of the product on my lips and then using my finger or lip brush to spread it against my lips properly. It gives a more stained look and lasts much longer. This works particularly well for Vertigo as it has much deeper pigmentation.

All in all, I do like this fluid sticks, but I’m probably not going to be running out the door to add more colours to my collection. While it is a great product, it really comes down to your personal preference and I personally and more a lipstick wearer than gloss.
