Review: Estee Lauder Gloss To Go Holiday 2010

The holiday season is just around the corner and you know what that means :3 Holiday Gift Sets! My favourite time of year when it comes to cosmetics 😀 I plan on reviewing all the gift sets that capture my eye~

First gift set review is Estee Lauder’s Gloss To Go, which contains 6 pure colour lip glosses: Passion Fruit (shimmer), Electric Ginger (shimmer), Garnet Desire (shimmer), Brazen Berry (shine), Magnificent Mauve (shimmer), Frivolous Pink (sparkle)

I can’t really call this post a “review” as such, since I haven’t had enough time to really use and abuse these guys. I would only write a proper review for items I’ve really put to good use. So consider this a swatch post if anything else.

Passion Fruit (shimmer), Electric Ginger (shimmer), Garnet Desire (shimmer), Brazen Berry (shine), Magnificent Mauve (shimmer), Frivolous Pink (sparkle)

However some comments I do have before we get onto the swatches:

  • All glosses seem to have the same soft fruity scent.
  • The sparkle gloss is a bit gritty on the lips, like glitter.
  • The shimmer glosses are very smooth, though I find the shine gloss to be the most creamy.
  • Glosses are semi-opaque, not full pigmentation.
  • All colours are very work friendly, some are very subtle, nothing outrageous here

Passion Fruit (shimmer)

Electric Ginger (shimmer)

Garnet Desire (shimmer)

Brazen Berry (shine)

Magnificent Mauve (shimmer)

Frivolous Pink (sparkle)

Hope you enjoy the swatches, these retail for $65AU at any Estee Lauder counter, other holiday items on the agenda soon are NARS, Smashbox plus more, so be on the look out for them 🙂
