You’ve got your BB Creams, CC Creams, DD Creams and now even EE creams. I wonder how long till we hit ZZ creams?

Curious by nature I had to pick this up to give it a try, I didn’t even bother doing any pre-reading beforehand to see if it was something I would actually enjoy, it was a pure impulse buy.

Essentially this product is designed with a few goals in mind:

1) Correct skin tone
2) Provide sun protection
3) Act as a primer for foundation

And I think it does all of those pretty well. The consistency is like a foundation, liquid and easy to blend out. It does help do some minimal skin tone correction, as I noticed it did even out my skin tone without covering any of my freckles. It literally is just like my natural naked skin but even. I even had friends commenting on how awake I looked. It came off incredibly natural on the skin, except for one point.

The one major flaw for me was how greasy / shiny it left my skin. I personally have combination dry skin so for something to come off oily looking on me certainly isn’t a great fit for those of you with combination or oily skin. Knowing this I only ever wore this on its own, because the minute I applied any powder on top it started to look less natural and more “makeup”. But if you were keen to wear it with a powder, I’d recommend something translucent to keep it as natural as possible.

In terms of functioning as a primer, I didn’t really notice any real difference between having it there and not. If you find a foundation with enough coverage then the coverage from this is pretty redundant.

So who would love this? I think this is best suited for those who have good skin with some hyper-pigmentation issues. Ideally better for drier skin, and great if you’re looking for a way to give off that “no makeup” look. Just so long as you’re okay with some shine, which I know not everyone mind as much as I do.

I’m going to keep this for now, and use it on days I don’t want much coverage just because it does have high SPF and it does give my skin a nice natural boost. But I wouldn’t consider buying it again. If you’re keen to try this out for yourself, you can purchase it online for $40USD.

Keep Up with Mia

  1. I thank you for the information. I did some research on skin tone products and I am shopping locally for them. We have a Macy’s here and I can get Estes Lauder and Clinique which is the other brand I am looking at. I have combination oily skin so for me the extra oil I can do without. I will sure be keeping tabs on any new info you post.

    1. Pleasure! Thank you so much for reading 🙂

  2. Hi there , Thanks for the review . Can you please tell me the shade you bought for yourself?
