Clarisonic vs Foreo ~ Battle of the Cleansing Devices!

For the longest time I’ve been using both Clarisonic and Foreo interchangeably to help cleanse my skin and the idea to do a comparison video for them only came thanks to my co-workers who at the time were trying to work out which device to purchase!

I went into a lot of detail in the video linked down below, however I figured it would be a great idea to throw together a corresponding blog post that highlights the key points 🙂 In the video I feature the following devices:

Foreo Luna 2 at $249AUD
Foreo Luna Go at $129AUD
Clarisonic Mia 2 at $219AUD
Clarisonic Mia Fit at $315AUD

I’m going to break down this blog post similar to the way I did in the video 🙂 And before I continue, I’ll mention one small correction! I think I may have said that the Foreo was generally cheaper than the Clarisonic, and I meant in general. As you can see the Luna 2 is more expensive than the Mia 2 when compared directly 🙂

Similarities

  • Used for cleansing “clean” skin, aka it is not designed to remove makeup and any makeup should be removed before using this device
  • Both use pulsating technology to cleansing your skin
  • Both have speed levels you can adjust
  • Both work best with a cleanser of your choice

Differences

Clarisonic

  • The brush is made from bristles, is removable and interchangeable with different brush types
  • Recommendation is to change the brush head every 3 months
  • Can provide a deeper cleanse
  • Requires a charge once a week if used daily

Luna

  • Contains anti-bacterial silicone like bristles and is not removable
  • Come in a range of different models for different skin types
  • Generally gentler on skin
  • Requires a charge once a month if used daily

Verdict

Depends. I use both because I see the benefits of using both together, however if you have sensitive skin then I’d recommend the Foreo. If your skin is a little more normal and could use a deeper cleansing then the Clarisonic is probably the best bet for you.

Keep Up with Mia
