Too Faced Absolutely Invisible Candlelight Highlighter Review, Swatches and Photos

Too Faced Absolutely Invisible Candlelight Highlighter

So I had to admit that I purchased this originally thinking that it was a highlighter, however after using this a few times now I’ve come to realise that this is more a illuminating face powder, rather than an actual highlighter.

As a face powder, it works beautifully, the powder is very finely milled. It leaves a very subtle sheen across the face, giving areas of your face where the lights hit a very beautiful glow. However in low light situations you won’t see any glow at all. In fact the glow is incredibly difficult to capture on camera, as you can see in the photos below.

The only downside, which may not really be a draw back depending on your wants, is that this powder provides no coverage at all. So if you’re looking to set your foundation and add some coverage, I’d use a regular face powder first and then top off with this.

Also if you need a stronger highlighter, I’d try something else like NARS’ Albatross, which has a similar finish with just more pigmentation and less fine.
