Palette Obsessed

If there is one thing you should know about me is that I have an unhealthy addiction to makeup palettes. Something about knowing I have in the palm of my hand the tools to completely transform myself.

Hmm… I sound oh so sophisticated and mysterious. Which isn’t me at all (I wish!), so I’ve narrowed it down to being that fact that I like to look at a lot of pretty colours at once.

Yes, that sounds much more like me!

So it’s no surprise I have an unhealthy amount of palettes at home, I buy each one with the hope that “this will be my travel / all purpose palette”, which never ends up being the case as proven by half my luggage space being dedicated to both skin care and makeup. Oh well, aim high right?

However, one palette I find myself turning to more often each day is NP Set’s 10 eye shadow palette. It was given to me by Sefie, and it contains some lovely neutral winter tones. What I love about this palette are the range of colours and how light the actual compact is. Great for when I’m running late and need to do my makeup in the car, which unfortunately occurs all too often.

Last week, I decided to splurge on a couple more NP Set palettes. I figured, my collection is so heavily dedicated to the international brands, I should give a little more love to the Australian brands 🙂 I’ve purchased the Career and Sweater set.

I bought two, each for around $39 each. Both contain eye shadows, blush and lip product. Personally I’m not a fan on having lip products in a palette if I intend to use them everyday. So much easier to just whip out a tube of lip stick/gloss to touch up, than fiddling around with a palette, especially when one is out to dinner.

Curious to see how versatile these palettes really turn out to be!

Oh, and a word of warning. If you’re a clumsy girl like myself, I would avoid the Romance, Party and Jet set palettes. I too was drawn to the array of lovely eye shadows at hand, but trust me the packaging is so brittle and weak, the palette literally snapped in half when I opened it 🙁 (Fortunately, I opened it just outside the store and was able to return it)

Keep Up with Mia
