China Glaze Electropop – Brights Spring 2012 Collection Review, Swatches and Photos

China Glaze Electropop - Brights Spring 2012

Welcome to Part 2 of my two part post on China Glaze’s Electropop nail polish collection! You can find Part 1 that covered the Lights collection here, today we’ll be covering the Brights collection. My comments yesterday still ring true for this collection as well, the formula is generally on the slightly thicker side, but very lovely. I was able to wear most of these polishes for an entire week without chipping.

All swatches are two coats with no top coat.

A minty crème green shade, I found this particular colour to be very popular the last few seasons so finding a dupe wasn’t difficult at all. For example ORLY’s Gumdrop is a slightly more muted version and Australis’ Sweet Pea is just a little lighter.

Gaga for Green

A vibrant lime green shade, I found this to be a sheer crème especially in comparison to the other polishes from this collection. I wasn’t actually able to find any dupes in my collection.

Make Some Noise

An almost watermelon red crème, sometimes I think this is a straight red, then other times I swear I can see pink in the mix. Maybe it’s my eyes playing tricks on me? Anyways, when I went through my collection I found that ORLY’s Ole was a semi-opaque version and MAC’s Scorcher was even sheerer.

A bright shimmery yellow polish, though I use the term shimmery loosely as it leans more towards micro shimmers and so is very fine. Again, I couldn’t find a dupe for this, but I absolutely loved the formula for this polish. It was probably the best performing polish for me.

A slightly soft magenta crème, this polish was extremely pigmented and honestly I only needed one coat to achieve full opacity.

The silver / halo glitter polish from this collection! This worked amazingly well on each polish so much so I’ve decided what I want my new manicure for the next month to be the photo below (unfortunately I’m rolling off my current client site and so can’t afford to rock this manicure at work anymore 🙁 )

I’m absolutely in love with this manicure even though it’s more time consuming to put on, but I’m truly in love 🙂 This manicure lasts for about one week before I take it off to re-apply!
