Essie Fall 2010 Collection Review, Swatches

Essie Fall 2010

Essie has got to be one of my favourite work / every day crème brands I lean on~ They are one of the few brands that always seem to have the best nudes and pinks. This particular collection was released last year in America during their Fall, I decided to post swatches from the collection now that Australia has entered Autumn

This is a lovely warm collection with some great earthy tones, something that would suit everyone in my opinion 🙂 The formula is pretty decent for this collection, I think I only needed 2 coats for this, and no top coat.

Limited Addiction
Essie Fall 2010
A deep garnet crème, another staple in anyone’s collection! Chances are most nail polish lovers already have this. And apologises for the sloppy polish job 🙁 I get so shaky when it comes to applying reds.

Sew Psyched
Essie Fall 2010
A muted khaki green, I quite enjoy this colour, it’s like an understated green that could be potentially worn at work.

Velvet Voyeur
Essie Fall 2010
A deep cherry red, enough layers of this and it can almost appear black, though I wouldn’t consider this as deep as OPI’s Black Cherry Chutney.

Merino Cool
Essie Fall 2010
A muted purple gray crème, with perhaps some brown thrown in too? It’s a difficult colour to pinpoint, it’s a lovely conservative colour that I can see myself wearing often.

Little Brown Dress
Essie Fall 2010
A deep dark brown, firstly I am sorry that you can clearly see my nails stained by Velvet Voyeur here! This colour is a straight brown, absolutely not a hint of red / cherry in there. These swatches are taken months ago, since then I’ve been always using base coats between each swatch to prevent this from happening.

In Stitches
Essie Fall 2010
A muted watermelon red, one of my favourites from this collection. Often I’ve not confident enough to be wearing a stark red, especially if I’m dressed down a little so this is a great alternative.

Another great collection by Essie, really loving the colours here for the colder weather. Very suitable~ You can purchase these from Myer for around $18AU each.
