Face of Australia Barbados Collection Review, Swatches and Photos

Face of Australia - Barbados

Introducing the latest nail polish collection by Face of Australia, Barbados. This was a very special collection as it was one the MBBE girls brainstormed on one afternoon with Face of Australia. A lovely afternoon of laughs, swatching and chicken nuggets was had, and the result was Barbados, which will forever be a very special collection to me 🙂 The collection was kindly supplied by Face of Australia, and as always all swatches are 2 coats with no top coat. The collection is available at select Pricelines.

Another Daiquiri Please

Face of Australia - Barbados

A sheer watermelon coloured shimmer shade, I found OPI’s Big Hair Big Nails to be almost identical in colour, minus the shimmer.

Bright Lights, Pink City

Face of Australia - Barbados

A bright almost fluoro pink shade (at least in person) with gold / pink shimmers. Zoya’s Bijou is a much sheerer version of this.

Calypso – Gold

Face of Australia - Barbados

A yellow based pearl metallic shade with very light gold shimmers. I found OPI’s Upfront & Personal is a very sheer version.

I Like to Mauve It

Face of Australia - Barbados

A dusty rose shade infused with silver shimmer, NYX’s Silver Plum is a more satin version with less shimmer and Zoya’s Reece has more pink to it.

Let’s Go Scuba Diving

My favourite from this collection, a gorgeous shimmery teal shade. It is such an amazingly rich colour, I couldn’t find an exact dupe, but I found Essie’s Trophy Wife is be bluer with less shimmer and Zoya’s Charla is less pigmented.

Orange You Glad You Came?

Another favourite shade, a tangerine with micro shimmer shade. I really couldn’t find much like it at all, though when pressed China Glaze’s Sun Worshipper contains no shimmer and Color Club’s I Always Get My Mandarin is lighter with also no shimmer.

Party at the Gap

A gunmetal shade with silver shimmers, Zoya’s Marine is a non shimmer version. I found this formula to lean on the thicker side.

You Blue Me Away

Face of Australia - Barbados

A mixture of blue and silver shimmers, found this formula to be relatively thick as well. China Glaze’s Oxidized Aqua is similar but with more green tones.

  4. Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! I’m so glad I have an Australian blogger to follow because I can actually access the products you review and luckily for me, Face of Australia was all 20% off at Priceline! I went out today and got 3 bottles from the collection and if it hadn’t been for your swatches, I don’t think I would have even given them a chance. Thanks so much!! Love your blog 😀
