Chanel Les Delices de Chanel Rouge Coco Shine – Melba & Gourmandise Review, Swatches and Photos

Chanel Les Delices de Chanel Rouge Coco Shine - Melba & Gourmandise

Chanel’s Les Delices de Chanel collection contained some beautiful pieces, I’ve already reviewed the eyeshadow quad from the collection, and since Rouge Coco Shines are my weakness I decided to try out the two new shades as well.

The colour in the bullet vs. what transferred on my arm was completely different, which is part of why being able to try in person is always the best idea. When I first saw the colours in the bullets they appeared to be right up my alley! A beautiful soft pink and soft nude colour? Yes please, I could wear these to work even!

Unfortunately when you swatch them they are almost clear. A few more swatches on the skin and yes a bit of colour appears, but nothing noteworthy. You can see hints of each colour, but at a glance you wouldn’t be able to.

On the lips the situation is even worse, if you look close you can tell I’m wearing something and that’s mostly due to all the micro shimmers in the formula. But realistically between the two, there isn’t a distinct difference.

In fact I doubt anyone could tell I was wearing lipstick verse when I normally wear a clear lip balm.

So nope, I wouldn’t recommend these shades at all unless you enjoy using lipsticks that have little to no pigmentation. To each their own. I’m pretty disappointed with these, I just don’t really see the point.

If you’re interested, you can purchase them from the Chanel.com website for $34USD each.
