Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara Review, Swatches and Photos

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara

It’s been a while since I’ve tried a new mascara, I guess I’ve landed into a bit of a rut where I mostly stick to my beloved Lancome Hypnose and Maybelline Falsies, two of my favourite mascara ever! They are both so amazing in their own ways, but every now and then I need to remind myself that I am a beauty blogger and my job is to try new things!

Good thing I have friends to help me with that, a little while ago when Covergirl’s Clump Crusher first came out, Priceline ran a special where they were marked down to $10 a tube. Sefie kindly purchased one for me to try out and am I incredibly glad she did!

I absolutely loved the Clump Crusher for its intended purpose. During the first 1-2 months I actually found it impossible to clump my lashes! I was quite amazed by the formula and that’s the main reason I found this mascara so appealing.

In terms of volume and length, I would consider it above average. It definitely gives better volume as the formula starts to thicken over the following months, but as a result the formula will also start to clump. Nothing too hard to manage, but it did take a bit of playing around to get the full effect.

I could wear this through a full work day without any smudging, sometimes I’d get a bit of a “shadow” on my lower lash line, but nothing a cotton bud and a bit of water couldn’t get rid off.

All in all, I do think this is one of the better mascaras on the market! If you’ve already got naturally long lashes and want something to further enhance and separate them, this would be perfect for you.
