I’m constantly trying out all sorts of different neutral palettes, they are certainly the most popular colour range out there. And I had high hopes for this particular palette, and unfortunately was left disappointed.

Honestly, everything but the eye shadows themselves were great. Lightweight, good mixture of finishes, good colour range, but there is little point in all of that if the shadows hardly work.

I really had to dig at the palette to get the swatches you see above (besides 1-2 good shades). The pigmentation is truly disappointing, the shadows are very hard which makes me wonder if that’s the reason it is so difficult to pick up any colour, or perhaps not enough mica was used.

All in all, this is one neutral palette worth skipping. Great concept, not so great execution.

    1. No worries! I’m determined to at least try and get it to somehow work!

  1. I always get so sad when an affordable palette doesn’t perform. We need more of them to rally against the overpriced ones! :p

  2. Would the sheer pigmentation work with very pale skin? I find that I have to use the lightest application with eyeshadow because I do have quite light skin and everything shows up also I have quite pink undertone so I don’t want too orange-based shadows!

    1. It could, but some of them you really need to scrap to get any pigmentation, I’d honestly try something else like potentially the Coastal Scents palettes instead.
