Dior Couture Colour Eyeshadow Palette – 764 Fairy Golds Review, Swatches and Photos

First palette from Dior’s Holiday 2012 collection 🙂 Eye shadow palettes are as you know my weakness in any collection! The packaging and pretty colours always manage to draw me in, and Dior’s collection was no different!

This collection saw the release of two gold based Christmas themed palettes, the first I will review is the lighter of the two palettes. This is called Fairy Golds (such a cool name, I love fairies~) The palette comes with five shades with all shimmery finishes (one closer to glitter), ranging from golds to ivory to taupes and browns. A perfect palette for everyday to night.

The shadows are rich in pigmentation and have a beautiful smooth texture. Very easy to apply and blend~ I absolutely love palettes like this, to the touch it feels like expensive velvet and the application for shadows of this quality are a true pleasure.

Even though I always wear eye primer every time I wear eye shadow, a true test of a good eye shadow for me is if it can perform without the need for an eye primer, and these held up very well!

Personally I’ve always found Dior eyeshadows to be rather hit and miss, so if you were ever in the market for a palette of good Dior shadows, make sure to pick this up! You won’t regret it 🙂
