Dior Addict Lipstick Summer 2013 Passionnee & Exotique Review, Swatches and Photos

Lately I’ve been keen to experiment with deeper lip colours, in the first place I’m not a heavy lip stick user but when I do I always tend to reach for nudes, soft peaches, soft pinks etc. But bright lips can make such a huge difference to a look, especially when the eyes are kept simple and so I’ve been branching out!

Dior released two new shades to their Dior Addict line as part of their Birds of Paradise Summer 2013 collection. For Dior Addicts, I’d consider these semi-pigmented. The Addict range isn’t really known for being particularly pigmented but given the colour depth of these shades I think these are a pretty stand out set.

These lipsticks are designed to be hydrating and volumising, I honestly can’t say these were volumising, however as for hydrating, they aren’t as moist as Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine.

Both in the tube and swatches, both Exotique and Passionnee are clearly different though very similar. However when worn on the lips I feel like they look almost the same. Almost!

Exotique leans closer to a watermelon colour, a mixture of both shades of red and pink. However Passionnee is more of a blue toned fuchsia. Out of the two I’d say Exotique is my favourite, I find watermelon shades tend to suit me better 🙂
