NARS Ethereal Aura Blush Palette Review

Almost every year NARS without fail will release some sort of holiday palette and this year they decided a beautiful six blush / highlighter palette would be it. NARS actually came out with two blush / highlighter palettes for the Holiday 2025 season, a lighter version called Lightspeed and the one I currently have called New Realm. Unfortunately Lightspeed is only available directly off the NARS website which does not ship to Australia so I only had access to New Realm. After testing out the New Realm palette I can safely say I really wish I was able to get Lightspeed as I think the shades would have suited my skin tone much more however the quality is insanely good! The NARS Ethereal Aura Blush Palette in New Realm is available for $104AUD from Mecca or Cult Beauty, or for $60USD from Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta or the NARS website.

The New Realm palette has six different shades, all which work wonderfully as stand alone blushes, but three can be used as highlighters to compliment the corresponding matte blush shade which is how I chose to wear them in the photos below.

The six shades are:
Dolce Vita (Matte dusty rose)
Dark Love (Shimmery dusty rose)
Teased (Matte fuchsia)
Thrash (Shimmery raspberry pink)
Thrill (Matte cool light pink)
Foolish (Shimmery cool light pink)

I found the blushes to all be highlight pigmented and very easy to blend, in fact I found some of the darker blushes a little too pigmented for my liking but I suspect it felt that way because this particular palette may be a little too deep for my skin tone / personal preference which is why I wish I could have tried the lighter palette which is unfortunately not available in Australia.

Where I could find some dupes or similar blushes I swatched below.

Strangely I found that for me the more dusty rose shades (Dolce Vita and Dark Love) suited my skin tone better, maybe because they appear to have some beige in them. The other shades whilst really beautiful were so pigmented it looked almost a bit weird on me (in my opinion), but I think of a deeper skin tone they would have applied wonderfully.

Despite the shade range not being perfect for me, I found the quality of the powders to be amazing and would highly recommend any blush loved with medium to deeper skin tone to give this palette a shot. It will last you for many years given how pigmented the shades are and application is so smooth and beautiful on the skin.

Keep Up with Mia
