Anyone who knows me knew that I would be all over this collection! Dior released a range of beautiful mystical midnight inspired products as part of their Fall 2013 collection, and the eye shadows that came out as part of this collection were gorgeous! But I am being good and trying to only buy stuff I know I will use in some shape or form.
And so the Bonne Etoile palette is the one I selected. It contains five different eye shadows, a Khaki shimmery green, a pink-pearl shimmer, a bronze shimmer, a bluish moss shimmer and an almost duo chrome medium sea foam green shimmer. So the entire palette is pretty much filled with shimmery colours, some more so than others.
The shadows generally were soft, silky smooth and have rich pigmentation, I loved working with these shadows though I will admit a part of me twitched when I started rubbing the shadows enough to cause the beautiful star patterns to start disappearing.
I’ve always been a huge fan of the Dior palettes because the quality is consistent, the powder is always pigmented and blends beautifully. If you like darker looks then I think this palette is definitely for you, but if you’re more of a neutral girl then you’ll probably want to try something different.
For the look below I stuck exclusively to just the green shadows as I wanted something wearable and light for during the day.
Unfortunately I can’t seem to find where you can purchase this online anymore, but at the time I purchased it for $60US.
